Bevan J. Maxey

Principal

Bevan was born in Spokane, Washington. He graduated from Lewis and Clark High School where he was all city in football, basketball, and baseball. He went on to study and play football at Washington State University graduating Cum Laude. Upon graduation, he enrolled at Gonzaga Law School graduating Cum Laude again and was admitted to practice law on November 7, 1983. While attending Gonzaga, he worked at Maxey Law Offices and gained experience in criminal and family law cases. He worked very closely with his father, Carl Maxey, a prominent civil rights attorney. The fusion of his competitive spirit and strong work ethic have proved to be successful in the courtroom. To continue the legacy of his father, he has become a voice to the voiceless and a defender of justice. His criminal practice ranges from speeding tickets to murder including representing a member of the local chapter of the Hells Angels resulting in a self-defense verdict. His family law practice encompasses many aspects from divorce, child support, establishing parenting plans, contempt actions, etc. While away from the office and the courtroom, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons.
